ABEZAMUTIMA is a Burundian Traditional Dance Group (ABTDG) based in Ottawa, Canada. It is an organization made of experienced dancers, drawn together by their common interest and passion for traditional dancing. The group has young performers (4 years old to 12), and adults’ performers (13 years and over).
ABTDG was established by a group of highly experienced Burundian folk and traditional dancers. Through its artistic endeavors, the group hopes to share its heritage with communities and promote cultural diversity in the National Capital Region.

ABEZAMUTIMA provides dance lessons taught by professional Burundian dance instructors with many years of experience. Lessons are conducted in Kirundi with translation in either French or English and include basic arm positions, leg positions, and other different dance segments.

ABEZAMUTIMA has and will perform at fundraisers, cultural and communities’ events, different celebrations, and companies sponsored events.
