Mississippi Squares is a Carleton Place based Modern Square Dance Club.

The club is in its 25th year of operation and is a member of the Eastern Ontario Square and Round Dance Association.

The club offers lessons in Basic, Mainstrean and Plus Square Dancing as well as dancing opportunities at all three levels for experienced square dancers. Couples, families and singles are welcome.

Basic and Mainstream Square Dance lessons are taught on Tuesday evenings between 7:30 and 10 pm by Caller Brian Crawford. Lessons for 2011/12 begin on September 13.

Plus lessons are taught on Friday evenings between 7:30 and 10pm by Caller Graham Ingram. Lessons for 2011/12 begin on September 16.

All lessons take place at Brunton Hall, Blacks Corners, Carleton Place.

This year the club is offering three free Open Houses on September 13, 20 and 27 starting at 7:30pm. Come along and see what Modern Square Dancing is all about. All ages, singles and youth are welcome.

The Open House on September 20th will also feature a free chilli supper.
